The new chairman to the Reno-Tahoe Regional Air Service Corporation

RASC announced today that they had elected Andy Wirth to the position of chairman. Andy is currently also serving as the president and CEO at Squaw Valley Ski Holdings. He has also been serving as a member of the board of trustees to the Reno-Tahoe Regional Air Service Corporation. The RASC was established to help increase service delivery to the airport’s clients and improve the services they deliver.

Andy accepted his new position and stated that it was a great honor to be given the leadership role. He reiterated that he still believed the company had potential to do more in order to improve the transportation sector in the region. The other members of the board include local businesses such as the hotel casino property and others. He stated that servicing the airways has always been and will always be the core of the regions business.

Andy has many years of experience in the transport sector. He has played a very crucial role in the growth of airports and providing services to the communities and resorts between Colorado and Quebec in Canada. He was part of the team that led the establishment of an air service from the JFK to the airport in Reno through the Jet Blue carrier.

The committee that he will be chairing was made in the June of 2011. It was supposed to promote the region as a place that tourists can come and see all round the year. The company got incorporated in 2015.

Andy was born in the July of 1963. He is the current man at the helm of Squaw Valley Ski Holdings. For the past two and a half decades, he has been part of the Mountain resort industry. His career started when he landed a job as a marketer with the steam boat corporation. He worked with the company for close to three decades before moving to Intrawest in 2007. There he served a a Chief Officer in charge of marketing. He got into a skydiving accident where his arm got torn off his body and had to be surgically re-attached. This earned him recognition from disabled sports USA. The fact that adversity does not slow him down makes him one of the best leaders in business.
